Trent Kennedy, Faculty of Bible, is a 2007 graduate of SWSBS. After graduating form SWSBS, Trent began working with the University church of Christ in San Marcos, TX as the campus minister and still serves in that capacity. The ministry, housed by the McCarty Student Center, is geared towards reaching Texas State University students through personal studies, evangelism training, counseling, and teaching Bible classes.
Each year he leads a mission team of college students and other Christians to conduct personal studies in Jamaica. Besides working in Jamaica each year, he has done foreign mission work in Cambodia, Mexico, and Paraguay. In the summer of 2015, the Kennedy family lived and worked in Asuncion, Paraguay, where Trent served as visiting faculty for the Academia Bíblica Asunción. Trent and Lisa also worked with the Avenida Sacramento congregation in Paragauy conducting personal studies, teaching English using the Bible, and teaching various classes.

Trent is married to the former Lisa Veazey, and they have four children: Ella, Troy, Luke, and Annie. He holds a master’s degree in public administration from Texas State and a bachelor's degree from Angelo State University with a double major in Communications and Psychology.
