I have long considered the great SOUTHWEST CHURCH OF CHRIST in Austin as my "home" congregation in the state of Texas. It has been my privilege to preach from the esteemed Southwest pulpit on many occasions over the years and I admire the many wonderful works of the congregation.

It gives me great pleasure then to highly recommend a major work of the Southwest congregation and one of the finest schools among us, the SOUTHWEST SCHOOL OF BIBLE STUDIES. The school has now established itself through its many years of work in preacher training, and I believe its finest days as yet to come – and with Joseph Meador as the scholarly and proven director the school will be faithful to its vital mission in training men to preach sound doctrine.

The Southwest congregation has one of the finest and most capable elderships known to me and I believe that the efforts of the Southwest School of Bible Studies are destined to make an immeasurable contribution to the Cause of Christ. I know of no finer work being done anywhere, and I commend this great school and these faithful men unreservedly.
