Concentration in Christian Education

The program in Christian Education focuses on the philosophical, psychological, and educational requirements for effective pedagogy.

Religious Studies-Christian Education
BS-513 Advanced Introduction to the New Testament (3 hours)
BE-501 Exposition of Matthew (3 hours)
BE-502 Exposition of Acts (3 hours)
BE-503 Exposition of Romans (3 hours)
BE-504 Exposition of Hebrews (3 hours)
CE-521 Philosophy of Christian Education (3 hours)
CE-522 Educational Learning Theory (3 hours)
CE-523 Foundations of Christian Education (3 hours)
BS-515 Christianity and Social Philosophy (3 hours)
CE-524 Instructional Methods (3 hours)

At the beginning of each course, students will be provided a class description, list of assignments and research projects, and a list of the necessary course textbooks; students will need to order or purchase their texts themselves. Upon successful completion of the course, students will be provided the appropriate materials for the following course, and so forth. The program is expected to be completed in two years, but as this is an external studies program the actual time required will depend upon the individual student.
